im gonna cry look at rosemarys face…………… oh no………………..
Love the imagery on this page. Aidan in Silhouette, Rosemary’s tears, Toivo being completely limp and possibly though hopefully not dead, Serule’s distress, and Rocky’s concern all come together to create this wonderfully depressing scene.
Tovio’s hand! TOVIO’S HAND!
Was the mark on his left hand previously?? We can’t see the back of his right hand…
Last time I checked, the symbols were on both hands…
Oh my god T-T Everyone’s faces….
Awwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeesooooooooommmmme!
Toivo’s plot armor gonna need to be thicker than his skull to get out of this one.
*chef’s kiss*
An excellent take on the classical model.
Holy cow, this is an impressive panel! It looks like a Renaissance painting.
I assumed the wavery voice calling “Aidan?” on the previous page was Toivo, but now I’m wondering if he was already unconscious and that was Serule’s voice.
From the ‘Uncle Aiden’ I’d assume it was Rosemary but that makes no nevermind, this looks like something out of the Louvre.
Nice splash panel, one of the better ones I’ve seen in a long time, I’m seeing implied references to so many classic paintings I can’t look away and look back at it without seeing another one 🙂
As Kay says, the classical model is called Pietà.
@Oldarmourer The frantic “Uncle Aidan!” was definitely Rosemary, but there was a wobbly-looking speech bubble from someone else calling “Aidan?” as well.
well… he’s back
This… this looks like a sculpture I’ve seen before… and if it is I love the allusion!! This is so well composed!
this is a whole painting and biblical allusion, holy heck…
very wonderful artwork!
