Rosemary once again is astounded by her father’s responses to sound logic.
Last week I shared SpiderForest’s new lineup of fantasy comics. This week I’ll be sharing sci-fi and horror comics that you should check out!
Gharr, an alien researcher, gets stranded on Earth after making one too many rash decisions. He has no way of calling back for help, and no certainty that the natives are to be trusted… So began the First Contact Incident. |
Aspiring witch Violet Amaryllis aims to reform the corrupt Hero Industry, and attending academy Calia Nova seems like the perfect way to do it! However, she’s swept up in politics and rivalries, and learns that justice prevails… until it doesn’t. |
Simon is a self-proclaimed ghost hunter who is being haunted by a mysterious spirit in his home. His best friend Chakor, who just so happens to be a lich, promises him that with the help of his own ghost hunting dance squad they can fight it. |

Hmm… break the rules… but be careful too? Something tells me Rosemary is going to choose the former.
Replacing spell components periodically is a conspiracy by the Big Magica!
I wonder. Is this a change your toothbrush kind of thing? Or a change your expired food kind of thing?
I think you’re right. I’m all for feeding Toivo some humble pie, but I feel like that hard and fast rule would not apply equally to all components. Like eye of newt should probably be used fresh, but wool of bat will last for years! Imagine having to throw out your emergency stock of crushed gemstones…
That or a safety thing of a “they can probably use this but we recommend using fresh”
“Rules were meant to be broken, best-before dates are just guidelines, and keeping an eye of newt in your jacket pocket is a great idea!”
Tovio is so nervous.
THAT THIRD PANEL FACE SHDHEJDNS,X
Courting a chance of catastrophic spell failure works great until the day the dice come up snake eyes.
I wonder if it’s because the components lose their potency, or because they gain it over time and cause magicks to be stronger than expected.
