Why are Toivo’s forearms & hands so much darker than the rest of his skin? I’ve been wondering this for several panels now.
It’s from Vivianne draining his magic, I believe.
I thought it was from all the lightning he was throwing barehanded
Well, it depends on the magic system. Its possible he can’t be hurt by his own magic, and the staff is a channeling item. However it is also possible that he *can* get hurt by his own magic and the staff is what’s stopping that from happening every time he uses a attack.
